This was a beautiful day to snorkel in Key Largo, Florida Keys. We traveled out to sea on a boat named Reef Roamer, which is where the title of the film comes from. Finding this beautiful song by Jenny Mayhem was absolutely perfect! Edited for Stredit rules on vimeo.

Music: When You’re Older by Jenny Mayhem

CLICK is a theatrical project about communications across the internet, social boundaries, relationships and trust. The production tackles hard hitting issues including those of young carers, youth sexuality, teenage pregnancy, homophobia, and identity with an in your face humour that youth audiences will respect.

This documentary explores the development, behind the scenes, staging and tour of the production. CLICK is a collaborative theatrical production by Mess Up the Mess, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Australian Theatre for Young People, and Inspired Productions. With a cast and crew that compromises young people led by industry professionals, CLICK first toured in Wales September 2011.

For the production I created the multi-media and for the doc I was film supervisor and editor.

If you don’t know Miami well, or want somewhere cool to go, I would recommend spending some time in the Wynwood Arts District. Flooded with restaurants, galleries, art complexes, artist studios and most importantly (to me at least) loads of street art & graffiti.

At the beginning of the year I photographed some of Miami’s street art in Wynwood and have recently gone back to find them still shining under the sun – looking as good as ever.

Here Comes the Neighborhood is a Short-Form docuseries exploring the power of Public Art and innovation to uplift and revitalise urban communities. So far, seven episodes revolve around the Art District of Wynwood Miami.

Below is an exciting round up of more from around the Wynwood Walls – mainly found off of NW 2nd Ave, between NW 20th St and NW 29th St, Wynwood, Miami.

Tonight the O Cinema in Miami’s Wynwood District was the last night of a week long celebration of Rakontur‘s 10 Year Celebration. Having landed in Miami last night and knowing the event was sold out, I popped by in the hopes of grabbing a spare ticket. This is a night I didn’t want to miss! Rakontur are the guys that brought us Cocaine Cowboys and The U – and tonight was the Q & A of how it was all done.

In conversation with Director Billy Corben and Producer Alfred Spellman was CBS’s Miami Jim DeFede.

Tonight we got to see trailers and teasers on Rakontur‘s upcoming films.

When asked if their films made any money, they answered with “Success is being able to work again.” And that they are! These guys make awesome films about the transformation of Miami and allow the storyteller to tell their tale without the use of a script or narrator.

They are creating Cocaine Cowboys: Los Muchachos – a remix of the remix!

Broke, a film about how professional athletes end up squandering their multi-million dollar salaries before they’ve retired, which will screen at the Tribeca International Film Festival in May as a “work in progress” and will premiere on ESPN in the fall.

Dawg Fight, a backyard fighting circuit in Perrine (Miami), mixes astonishing fight sequences with a portrait of a neighborhood’s unique culture.

The Ponzi State, an epic-scale look at corruption in Florida, from housing fraud to pill mills, told from the perspective of the people who lived it.

Here’s a Cocaine Cowboys poster bought and photographed of Jay Rooney. Signed by Billy Corben!
