El Ojo-The Eye- was rolled around the centre of Barranquilla on 23 July, 2011 as the latest CuatrOOjos experiment. I wish I could see… (Yo desearia poder ver) is the statement we asked the locals to complete. Instead of the Barranquilleros coming to us as they did in Los Encantos del Traspatio, this time we went to where the people are.
The giant eye of 1.5 metres in diameter was rolled around key points of the city starting in the Plaza of San Nicholas, and continuing to Paseo Bolivar, Edificio Garcia, Teatro Rex, and finishing in the Cathedral. The areas of the city were chosen to capture the greatest amount of public diversity. The journey ended when El Ojo was completely filled.
The video above shows our journey.
