Hi. For those of you who have been to my site you might know that I love video and moving images. And for those of you who are visiting for the first time – Welcome! Have a look around and you can see different projects I’m working on. At the moment, I’m testing out different techniques and ways creating a moving images. I’m not thinking of a big final piece or what it might look like once it’s finished. At the moment I’m interested in experimenting, exploring and trying new (and old) techniques out. If you want to collaborate, now is a better time than any! So please get in touch.
Hope you enjoy the video above called Midday Stroll. I went on a nice long walk and shot a photo every 10 steps. At the beginning I stopped every 10 steps to look through the viewfinder & shot, I was concentrating on counting my steps and framing. 2o minutes into the walk I stopped looking through the viewfinder, but still paused every ten steps to shot. About 35 minutes into the walk (once I arrived on Queen Street) I stopped pausing when shooting, so kept a steady pace and walked and shot every ten steps. The end of the walk was extremely windy, I was not counting or stopping-just walking and shooting, by then the rhythm of every ten steps was natural. So here it is: a 1 hour 20 minute walk in roughly 2 minutes. If you’ve never been to Cardiff the walk was from the east to the west cutting through the town centre.
Hope you like the castle too. It’s very cool to live in a city with a castle!
